Purpose

To check whether the environments during storage are at appropriate temperature and humidity and to ensure the product is preserved without spoilage until the expiration date (S.K.T) under suitable storage conditions.

Definitions

  • Month/year: The month and year when the measurement and/or control is performed.
  • Warehouse/Area: The area from which the measurement is taken is written here.
  • Set Value: The required temperature of the environment.
  • Day: The day on which measurement-reading and recording are done.
  • Morning/Evening/Time: The section where controls are performed and noted at certain times in the morning and evening.
  • Explanation/Corrective action: Nonconformities detected related to storage areas and/or actions taken to correct these nonconformities.
  • Signature: Refers to the person(s) who performed the measurement and/or controls.

Application

  1. The control month and year are written in the month/year section on the record form.
  2. The name of the warehouse where temperature measurement is performed is written in the Warehouse/Area section.
  3. The temperature of dry storage areas should be 15-25°C, humidity 60-70%.
  4. Any adverse conditions found during the process should be noted and reported to the necessary units/persons.
  5. After measurement and/or control operations, the person responsible for follow-up signs in the Signature cell corresponding to the date the operations were performed.

Equipment Required for Measurement

  • Temperature and humidity meter

Points to Consider

  1. Some measuring devices may show the temperature inside the device and outside separately. In such cases, the value showing the outside temperature should be considered.
  2. If devices have measurement probes/sticks, they should be positioned not in places affected by heat changes or air flow but in places that best represent the ambient temperature.

Responsible

Unless otherwise specified, the Warehouse, Technical Service, or Department staff.
