What is ‘Blue Cap Blue Love’?

The blue cap campaign, initiated in 2009 by E.U. Faculty of Dentistry to purchase wheelchairs for the disabled and which received great interest from citizens, is now continuing under the leadership of Konak Municipality.

How?

The following units lead the collection of caps.

  1. PTT Branches: Citizens from all over Turkey who want to participate in the campaign can send to the municipality from PTT branches with subscriber number 601428341. The PTT phone number - from anywhere in Turkey - is 169. Blue caps brought to PTT are charged 5 TL if under 30 kg, and 7.5 TL if over 30 kg.
  2. KİPA Branches: Caps brought to any TESCO KİPA branch are sent to İzmir free of charge. Not only blue caps but caps of all colors and plastic bottles can also be collected.

Disabled individuals requesting wheelchairs must send their contact information along with health reports to fax number 0232 445 38 73. Persons with a disability rate over 40% in the report will be evaluated by the established committee. If deemed appropriate, a wheelchair will be sent.

Donations of money and cars are not accepted.
