Swimmer's Ear

You may feel like there is water trapped inside your ear that won't come out, but the problem could be an ear canal infection. Causes of this condition include excessive exposure of the outer ear canal to water (too much diving, playing in water), use of cotton swabs, hair sprays, certain shampoos, or other chemicals.

Precautions

  • Reduce contact with water
  • Dive less
  • Do not allow children to spend the entire day in the pool
