What Is the Declaration of Waste Generated from the Business?
It is the notification to the ministry of the amounts of waste generated within your business (fluorescent lamps and other mercury-containing lamps, spray cans, toners, agricultural chemical wastes, paint-varnish containers, generator waste oil, waste capacitors, iron zinc, aluminum, vegetable waste oil, medical waste, plastic packaging waste, glass packaging waste, etc.), the waste processing code, and the recovery facility.
Why?
It falls under the scope of the “Regulation on the Control of Hazardous Wastes” dated 14.03.2005 and numbered 25755, the “Notification on the Recovery of Some Non-Hazardous Wastes” dated 17.06.2011 and numbered 27967, the “Regulation on the Control of Vegetable Waste Oils” dated 19.04.2005 and numbered 25791, and the “Regulation on the Control of Medical Wastes” dated 22.07.2005 and numbered 25883.
When?
The waste declaration form must be filled out, approved, and printed using the web-based program (TABS) prepared by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, including information for the previous year, starting from January until the end of March each year, and one copy must be kept for five years.
Where?
Businesses with a username and password in the Environmental Information System must submit the notification at http://online.cevre.gov.tr/. If you have not previously obtained a Username and Password; you must apply for a new registration at http://online.cevre.gov.tr/ and then apply to the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization to which you are affiliated with the printout obtained from there.

Record Keeping
A printout of the declaration form must be taken and kept for five years.
Important!
In case of non-compliance with the Waste Declaration, necessary procedures are carried out by the authorities specified in Articles 15 and 16 of the Environmental Law No. 2872, and the sanction in Article 26 is applied.
