Do You Have a Combustion System in Your Business? Have You Obtained an Environmental Permit?
Combustion System; A system installed within the facility for heating and/or hot water production that emits emissions into the air as a result of combustion fueled by solid, liquid, gas, or biomass fuels.
Environmental Permit; A document to be issued for businesses under relevant legislation to protect receiving environments such as air, water, and soil.
Who Is Required to Obtain It?
All facilities listed in Annex-1 and Annex-2 of the Regulation on Permits and Licenses Required by the Environmental Law (each unit emitting emissions to air, water, or soil; machines, devices, or other fixed installations; properties where substances are stored, unloaded, or processed) must obtain it.
Where Do Seedling Producers and Greenhouse Businesses Stand Regarding Environmental Permits?
Seedling producers and greenhouse businesses are obliged to continuously and/or intermittently use any combustion unit to bring the ambient temperature to suitable conditions to create a proper living environment for their products.

Who Issues It?
It is issued by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and the affiliated Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization. Inspections are conducted by the Ministry and Provincial Directorates.
How to Obtain It? Application Process?
The environmental permit application is made by the environmental management unit, employed environmental officer, or environmental consultancy firms authorized by the Ministry. This regulation came into effect on 01.04.2010.
Important!! Within the scope of the mentioned regulations, the e-application file for the environmental permit must be prepared and submitted. Otherwise, administrative actions may be applied by the relevant authorities pursuant to the relevant articles of Environmental Law No. 2872.
The Environmental Permit / Environmental Permit and License granted to businesses is valid for 5 years.
