MEASURES TO REDUCE LEGIONELLA RISK AT THE END OF THE SEASON

  1. Perform CHLORINE SHOCKING by adding chlorine to cold water tanks. The target free chlorine level is 3 ppm, with a retention time of 24 hours inside the system.

  2. Increase the water temperature inside the boilers to 60-70 ºC, then run hot water at pencil thickness for 5 minutes from all showers and taps within the facility (including rooms, hammam, hairdresser, etc.). Perform THERMAL SHOCKING.

RECORD KEEPING

Write down all performed procedures on appropriate forms or prepare minutes and sign them.

IMPORTANT

Guests should be warned about the risk of scalding before thermal shocking.
