What Are the Procedures for Assigning Occupational Safety Experts and Workplace Physicians?

Information about the launch of the İSG KATİP System.

Why?

Considering the scope of the Occupational Health and Safety Law, the system was created by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security to effectively and quickly carry out the work and procedures related to the contract notifications of occupational safety experts and workplace physicians.

When?

  • The Occupational Health and Safety Law was published on 30.06.2012 and came into effect on 01.01.2013.
  • The applicability of the İSG KATİP System was announced on 15.02.2013.

Who?

To use the system and assign occupational safety experts and workplace physicians, at least one employee with the title of "partner, manager, employer, accountant, employer representative" of the workplace making the assignment must be registered as the workplace official in the SGK records.

Where?

The aforementioned persons must log in to the İSG-KATİP system via http://isgyh.csgb.gov.tr using their e-government passwords, select the occupational safety expert and workplace physician to be assigned from the system pool by their Turkish ID numbers, and the selected occupational safety expert and workplace physician must also log in to the system with their e-government passwords and approve their contracts if deemed appropriate.

Completion of the above procedures will be considered as notification of the assignment of occupational safety experts and workplace physicians to the General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

Notes

  1. For the validity of the service procurement to be made with the occupational safety expert, workplace physician, or OSGB, the registration process must be completed through İSGKATİP.
  2. There may be more requirements than those mentioned above. Important points are included in the reminder, but the order of importance may vary depending on the risk situation.
