Have You Prepared Your Waste Management Plan?
What Is It?
It is a file prepared by businesses within six months from the date the regulation comes into force and approved by the Governorship (Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization), containing short and long-term programs and policies to ensure environmentally compatible management of waste generated from the process.
When?
It has been valid since the publication date of the Hazardous Waste Control Regulation numbered 25755 dated 14.03.2005.
Who?
All institutions/organizations and businesses producing waste within the scope of the "General Principles of Waste Management Regulation" numbered 26927 dated 05.07.2008, the "Hazardous Waste Control Regulation" numbered 25755 dated 14.03.2005, and the "Environmental Law" numbered 2872 (Amended 5491) dated 09/08/1983 are required to prepare an "Industrial (Hazardous – Non-Hazardous) Waste Management Plan."
How?
Process and Validity
The Waste Management Plan is valid for one year from the approval by the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization to which it is affiliated, and the validity period of the plan is given in the cover letter used when delivering the approved copy to the business.
