Did You Get a Live Music Permit?
What Is It?
Live Music Permit is the permission obtained from the municipality or provincial special administration as required by the Regulation on the Assessment and Management of Environmental Noise and the Regulation on Workplace Opening and Operating Licenses to broadcast music using real instruments and/or sounds or sound sources amplified electronically or from tape.
Who Must Obtain It?
Those who broadcast music using real instruments and/or sounds or sound sources amplified electronically or from tape, and the activities and facilities marked with (*) in Annex-1 and Annex-2 of the Regulation on Permits and Licenses Required by the Environmental Law, as well as all entertainment venues, are required to obtain a live music permit.
How to Obtain?
- A "Environmental Noise Level Assessment Report" is prepared by institutions and organizations that have obtained preliminary qualification/qualification on noise from the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
- Based on the prepared report and the approval to be given by the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization or, in case of delegated authority, the Municipality to which the authority is delegated, the live music permit is obtained from the authorized institution that issues the workplace opening and operating license.
Who Issues It?
It is issued by the authorized institution that grants the workplace opening and operating license based on the approval given by the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization or, in case of delegated authority, the Municipality to which the authority is delegated, regarding the Environmental Noise Level Assessment Report.
Why?
It is mandatory under the Regulation on the Assessment and Management of Environmental Noise dated 04/06/2010 and numbered 27601, the Regulation on Workplace Opening and Operating Licenses dated 4/7/2005 and numbered 9207, and the Circular No. 2011/11 "Control of Environmental Noise Originating from Entertainment Venues."
Who Prepares the Environmental Noise Level Assessment Report?
Institutions and organizations that have obtained preliminary qualification/qualification on noise from the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization prepare it.

Note
Administrative sanctions (20,317 TRY) stipulated in the Misdemeanor Law No. 5326 dated 30/3/2005 and Article 20 of the Environmental Law are applied to those who act contrary to the provisions of this Regulation.
