What is Biocidal Product Classification?
A biocidal product is a preparation containing one or more active substances, presented ready for use, that exerts a controlling effect on any harmful organism chemically or biologically, restricts its movement, renders it harmless, or destroys it. For example: drinking water disinfectants or insecticides.
Why?
The “Biocidal Products Regulation” published in the Official Gazette No. 27449, 4th Repeated Issue, dated 31.12.2009, has come into force. Therefore, the permissions for all kinds of biocidal products/products (such as chemical, disinfectant) that you will purchase for your businesses have been determined according to their areas of use.
When?
When making new purchases, licensed products must be bought and used in the area of use according to the type of product.
Where?
To verify whether the biocidal products you will purchase are licensed, you can follow the buttons for the list of products accepted into the inventory under the Licensed Products section on the website www.biyosidal.saglik.gov.tr in Turkey.

Important!
The suitability of the permissions of these products/products to their areas of use is important for environmental and public health. Product types without a license for the relevant group should not be purchased, or licensed products should be used according to the specified main group and product type. For example: veterinary products should not be used as pool disinfectants.
